The Sore Truth

Today was better on the diet front. I only had one slip up and that was a small piece of chocolate cake I had for dessert. I have discovered that this is the month of birthdays at work. I will have many more opportunities to eat cake. I was very sore from my short workout yesterday. I did not help that I had to walk to the other end of the school several times today. Heels were created by a man who hated women. I did exercise doing 100 crunches. I discovered I am really out of shape because those 100 crunches really hurt.

7:00 1 cup Raisen Nut Crunch, 1 cup skim milk, 1 banana
9:30 100 calorie pack of almonds
12:00 1 lean cuisine meal, 1 90 calorie bag of baked doritos, 1 piece of chocolate cake
5:00 2 servings baked lays, 1 ounce beef jerky
7:00 1 whole wheat tortilla, 2 ounces ground beef, 2 Tbsp pico, 1/8 cup shredded cheese, 1/4 cup fat free refried beans, 1 diet cream soda

Feeling Bad-The Training Begins

Today started off as a good day. I was really hoping that I could eat right and feel good about my food choices. However, I woke up late and could not eat breakfast at home. Also, I had my mid-morning slump that led me to the vending machine. I hated myself for eating the Twix bar. After the Twix my eating went downhill. One of the parents gave me two sugar cookies, I had popcorn chicken, and then I ate a somewhat healthy carrot cake cupcake. When it was time to exercise after work I was really excited. I have ten weeks to go before the Turkey Dash 5K Race! When I started with my warmup everything was great. However, when I started to run I felt very sick. I had to walk the rest of the way home and only walked 1 mile in 15 minutes. I am going to try again tomorrow and really try to run more. I really want to compete in this race. I also have to sign up for a yoga class for my humanities course. The class is 75 minutes long and I will take a total of 10 classes. Hopefully things will go well.

7:30 1 breakfast burrito, 1 strawberry skim milk
9:30 100 calorie almond pack, 2 oz raisens, 1 Twix bar
12:00 1 serving popcorn chicken, 2 oz carrots, 100 calorie package of goldfish, 2 sugar cookies
1:30 1 carrot cake cupcake
5:00 1 piece beef jerky
7:00 Chinese Wanchai Ferry meal. I only ate a portion of the rice and mostly the vegetables that were added. I only had 1 ounce of chicken. 8 ounce diet cream soda
7:45 1 skinny cow cookies n cream ice cream sandwich
